ON JUNE 25TH, 2017, 150 FOR 150 HOPES TO SEE 150 CANOES ON CANOE LAKE IN ALGONQUIN PARK TO RAISE A FLAG FOR CANADA’S 150TH BIRTHDAY

2017 is a very big year. We’re acknowledging Canada’s 150th. Holy Cow Canoe has been named among the #Top10 Canadian Canoe Manufacturers. We are the cow that jumped over the moon šŸ˜‰

Press release for the #150for150 Canoe Event scheduled for June25th, 2017

In addition to the official 150 For 150 event on June 25th , the organizing committee are planning several other activities forĀ participants to enjoy over that weekend, including:

  • A meet-and- greet and ā€œcanoe Olympicsā€ with some of the provinceā€™s outdoor and paddling bloggers and social media personalities.
  • A showcase of Ontario canoes, provided by Ontario canoe manufacturers.

People interested in participating are asked to register at the event website, www.150for150.com. The cost toĀ register is $30 per canoe and includes two 150 For 150ā€ t-shirts. All registered participants will also have a chance to win someĀ great prizes from our sponsors at the end of the event.Ā Participants are encouraged to book a campsite, if needed, in AlgonquinĀ Park as soon as possible.

150 For 150 is promising to be one of the biggest paddling events in Canada to honour our country with the iconic Canadian symbol, the canoe.

Fast Facts:

  • The event will be held Sunday, June 25, 2017
  • 150 canoes will paddle on Canoe Lake in Algonquin Park
  • A specially designed flag will be raised in the centre of the 150 canoe armada.
  • Registration costs $30 per canoe and includes two commemorative t-shirts. A portion of the proceeds from theĀ event will be donated to a charitable organization.
  • The organizing committee is made up of 11 outdoor enthusiasts who share a passion for canoeing and Canada.
